This version covers a narrow situation: an expatriate worker at a private-sector establishment, with no electronically documented employment contract in Qiwa, who can read the wording shown in their own account. The official guide's title and scope are for a worker without an electronically documented employment contract, and the guide also lists the absence of a documented Qiwa contract among the service conditions. An electronically documented contract is outside this version's scope, and the page does not extend the guide by analogy. Source 1

Why “Discontinued” and “Absent” are kept separate

HRSD's announcement says that after the employer submits the work-discontinuation request, the expatriate worker's status becomes “Discontinued from Work.” It states that the worker has 60 days to transfer to another employer or leave on final exit, after which the status becomes “Absent from Work” if neither option is taken. That information is not turned into a calculator. The tool does not enter a date and does not calculate a last day or time remaining because this version does not verify submission time, system cutoffs, or connected-system status. The operational reference is the date and status displayed in Qiwa and connected official systems, not a number produced by this page.

A separate domestic-worker route

The design routes domestic workers to Musaned and stops the Qiwa plan. HRSD announced a separate domestic-worker service through Musaned on 15 February 2026, with controls that differ from the private-sector-establishment route. Source 5

The page does not apply Qiwa details to a domestic worker and does not calculate a Musaned period. The official platform is the route for checking the current service and status.

Frequently asked questions

Does the plan calculate the end of the 60-day period?

No. The plan does not ask for a date or produce an end date or timer. The official guide states that the period starts when the report is submitted within its scope, but the operational reference remains the date and status displayed in Qiwa and connected official systems.[1]

Why does the plan stop for an electronically documented contract?

The procedural guide used by this version states in its title and scope that it is for workers without an electronically documented employment contract and lists the absence of a documented Qiwa contract among the service conditions.[1]

Does the plan cover domestic workers?

No. HRSD launched a separate service for domestic workers through Musaned, so this version stops and provides the Musaned route instead of applying the Qiwa-establishment path.[3]

Does seeing an option in Qiwa mean my request will be accepted?

No. The tool records the user's description of what is visible. It does not test platform conditions, decide eligibility, or predict an outcome.
